Fort4Fitness 4 Mile Run/Walk
The 4 Mile Run/Walk is our classic race to help promote people taking their first steps toward a healthier lifestyle. 4 miles is a perfect distance for those just starting out or trying to get back into shape, long enough to be challenging but short enough to be done with moderate training. This race also shares the same start, exciting stadium finish and portions of the scenic Half Marathon course. Seasoned athletes may want the challenge of running the 4 Mile race and then returning to the start to run the 10K (separate registrations required). All participants will receive a short-sleeve t-shirt and finisher's medal.

The 5th Annual Fort4Fitness 4 Mile Run/Walk will be run Saturday, September 29, 2012.
The 2011 4 Mile race was won by Casey Shafer (above left), 31, of Fort Wayne, Indiana (22:29). Casey then hustled back to the starting line in time to run the Half Marathon, where he finished 10th. The women's winner was Gina Gray (above right), 30, of Fort Wayne, Indiana (27:28). Complete searchable results are available here.
