About the Fort4Fitness Seniors Marathon
The newest addition to the Fort4Fitness Festival in 2010 is the Seniors Marathon. Designed for Seniors ages 62 and older, the Seniors Marathon is organized the same way as the Kids Marathon. It is an incremental walking/running program that has been designed to encourage seniors to exercise and to continue to live a healthy lifestyle that will benefit them for years to come. Participating seniors will walk or run (or some combination of both) a total of 26.2 miles (a full marathon distance) over a designated twelve week period from July through September.
